I’m a Plymouth based vocal coach offering lessons for all ages and abilities from beginner to professional. After Graduating for Trinity/LABAN Conservatoire, I have been a professional singer and musician as well as a vocal coach, working privately and with theatre schools in the south-west.

5 years ago I lost my voice due to nodules on my vocal folds. It was a terribly dark time in my life, I had to change so much from that moment on. I cancelled all of my voice work and gigs, I quit smoking and alcohol, I had to take care of my mental health and focus on getting better. During this very anxious time I asked other people who had been through nodules if their voice ever returned to full strength, and the resounding answer I got was “No, it'll get better, but it'll never be the same.” I was devastated and filled with guilt.

I started a years course of speech therapy, I started learning about the voice and how it works. And suddenly the answer everyone had been giving me didn't feel like that was good enough for me. Surely, with the right kind of purposeful practise and guidance and I can rebuild my voice. And that exactly what I did, with help from some of the UKs best voice teachers and our wonderful NHS ENT/SALTs my voice is stronger than ever.

This experience has fuelled my passion to help people find their voices, reclaim control, be heard and feel empowered. There truly is nothing like singing.
